                 FEATURING MEMBERS OF  LES GRAY'S MUD

 

Les Gray's sad passing left a massive chasm on the ‘70s circuit, but now the sound and hits like -Crazy, Hypnosis. Dyna-mite, Tiger feet, The Cat crept in, Rocket, Lonely this Christmas- and many more, well nurtured and performed by Les will continue courtesy of his estate and members of the band who played and performed alongside him.

 

SYD TWYNHAM was originally in a glam-rock band called Hector who toured extensively with Showaddywaddy. He joined the original line-up of MUD as the fifth member in the late seventies playing alongside before eventually replacing Rob Davis. Then, together with friends, Syd formed the band Liquid Gold who had a string of charts hits in the early eighties with Dance Yourself Dizzy, Substitute and Don’t Panic, the latter of which became a Eurovision song entry. Syd returned to Les Gray’s Mud where he stayed for the next eighteen years until Les’ untimely death.

 

PHIL WILSON’s first introduction to touring as a professional musician was a lengthy tour of Switzerland. Phil joined Les Gray’s Mud in 1998 prior to which he played with a number of ‘60s bands, including Brian Poole and Screaming Lord Sutch. Phil has made numerous appearances on TV both in the UK and Europe, he has also played many of the top venues including the NEC Arena, Wembley Arena, Hammersmith Apollo and the Sport Paleis in Antwerp.

 

CHRIS SAVAGE has been playing keyboards for close on twenty years. He was initially introduced to the music business in the Mike Batt/Abba production of Abracadabra, during which he worked alongside Elaine Paige and B A Robertson. Following many long summer seasons in Jersey and the Isle of Man, Chris worked with a Bruce Springsteen show and a Garth Brookes show, he also worked with ‘60s band The Cufflinks. In the eighties, Chris had his first experience of Mud when played alongside Mud sidemen Syd Twynham, John Berry and Wole Rothe in The Escorts.

 

MARK MICHALSKI, new in the band has been playing bass guitar for twenty years, during which much of his time has been studio based, engineering and producing such acts as Bernie Marsden from Whitesnake. Mark has also worked with Clive Bunker of Jethro Tull and Andy Pile from Gary Moores Band in an outfit called All Souled Out. Mark fronts and is lead singer with the 11-piece sing-jump’n’jive band Hellzaboppin’, and he has appeared at the famed 100 Club in London, as well as the Eindhoven Jazz and Blues Festival.
